Today I will be talking about what happened yesterday.

Yesterday we were selling stuff at Hornby High School we were selling Bath Bombs & Bath Salts Bath bombs were $2 dollars each and bath salts were $2 dollars each and half ones were 1$ each in our group we had Nathan, Jaden, Samir, ME (James). Hoped you like my blog post!

Science again

Method:

 1. Place the Heat mat.
 2. Put the Bunsen Burner on the Heat mat.
 3. Plug in the Bunsen burner in to the gas tap.
 4. Put the Tripod over the Bunsen burner on the heat mat.
 5. Then put the Gauze mat on top of the tripod.

Equipment needed:

 1. Safety glasses.

 2. Bunsen burner.

 3. Heat mat.

 4. Tripod.

 5. Gauze mat.

Tips:

 1. The hottest part of the flame is the inner flame.

 2. The order of lighting a Bunsen burner is light the match first then turn on the gas tap

Questions:

 1. Where is the broken glass put? In the special glass bin whats in the classroom.

 2. How do you stop all class gas taps? Emergency Gas Stop Button.

 3. Where is the fire extinguisher? On the wall.

 4. When should you wear safety glasses? When you are doing experiments.

Skittles - Science

 Aim : 

To use water to extract the dye from skittles using the process of chromatography.

Materials : 

1.   5 Skittles
2.   Water or milk
3.   Petri dish
4.   Beaker

Process :

1.   Place the skittles into the petri dish around the edges
2.   Pour 100ml water gently into the middle of the petri dish
3.   Then watch the colors spread around the dish until is done
4.   When its done you can tip it out down the sink

Explain the finding?

The fasted skittle was ... Yellow

Flooding in Caterbury

Hi everyone this week there was been a Major Flooding Storm!  

\This was on (29 Sat May 2021 to 1 Wed June 2021)
There where lots of Lighting strikes, Flooding, Severe rain, Earthquakes, Evacuates every where, Closed roads, Instead of normal doing to Dunedin from Christchurch it now 974km to get there because of the flooding. There is also A Code-Red in Metservice. And there has been 3 or 4 earthquakes in the storms and stuff and the storm comes back on Saturday this week but it might not. Also avoid travel as SH1 hinds River bridge is Closed, due to flooding.
